SANCTUS RULES & INFO
Rules:
1. Be literate. Use understandable grammar and spelling. No l337 speak unless it is within character to do so.
2. Please remain in character. While we understand that this is a crack Roleplay, drifting TOO far from the character's personality is not allowed unless there is an outside influence effecting him/her. (aka crack events)
3. You may play up to six characters at a time unless you get permission from an owner for more.
4. All roleplays should be in third person while journal entries should be in first person.
5. You must post all roleplay logs in the main community.
6. Keep roleplay logs open unless there is an specific/good reason for them to be closed.
7. Attempt to do scenes with, and comment on the journals of characters, from different fandoms.
8. You may join as any kind of fictional character. It can be from an anime, manga, TV show, movie, book, video game, etc.
9. Fill out an application and post it in the OOC community. Make a comment in this journal [the mod journal] with the word 'sanctuary' to show that you have read the rules. With enough votes, a moderator will Accept or Deny your application.
10. Post a Hiatus message if you are unable to roleplay for a week or more. [Do not post a hiatus message if you will only be gone for one or two days.]
11. Do not start unnecessary drama. Take it outside of the community.
12. All content that is not safe for work should be placed under a cut with warnings.
13. Do not godmod or kill off anyone else's character without their consent.
14. You may reserve a character for two weeks.
15. Do not flame others for not following the rules. There are enough mods who will decide what to do in that case. In the meantime POLITELY point out the mistake.
16. If your character becomes inactive for two or more months it will be automatically purged. (Unless you have special circumstances and have spoken with the moderators.)
Before Acceptance:
1. Please do not make comments anywhere other than your own application post.
2. Read ALL the information posts in the mod journal. [This journal]
They will explain the npc and its/their purpose, how your characters will communicate, the layout of the world, and what creatures inhabit it.
If accepted:
1. Add all of the character journals under the taken character list.
2. Join both the main community, the OOC community under your character's journal.
4. During his/her first or second log; have your character find a rolled-up or folded piece of paper (on their person or in the immediate area) containing the map and an explanation of the mail system.
